Need a fresh subject?

During the summer in the Willamette Valley, there are a number of outdoor events every weekend. Some recent ones I have enjoyed are the Emerald Cup Regatta on Fern Ridge Reservoir west of Eugene (I'll have photos on their site soon), the Great Oregon Steam-Up, Da Vinci Days, the Salem Art Festival, and the local county fairs in Albany and Corvallis. These provide opportunities for different subject matter for paintings whether you paint on site or use photos.
